Oregon Translation: Our Core Team

Oregon Translation is a team of extraordinary people that work together to produce extraordinary results. Our team is comprised of translators, editors, graphic designers, localization engineers and testers, foreign language voice actors, and Web experts with solid and knowledgeable backgrounds in language translation and international business. Additionally, we have reliable and trusted, contract translators for many more languages and specialty subjects. Because of Oregon Translation's commitment to "buying local," most of our contract translators are located right here in the Pacific Northwest.

Virginia Anderson
Localization Director

Translator: French, Spanish, English

In 2006, Virginia Anderson founded Oregon Translation as a spin-off from Canvas Dreams, a multilingual Web development company she started with her husband. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from Linfield College, with Spanish and European Studies minors and a Diplôme d’études en langue française from the French Ministry of Education. Virginia’s language abilities were perfected with long-term study-abroad experiences in France and Costa Rica, as well as many international travels and sojourns across two continents. Virginia has worked as a freelance translator for both Spanish and French for 15 years, in addition to experience as a bilingual copywriter, localization consultant, and localization project manager. Virginia is heavily active in the regional, multilingual communities and in the American Translators Association.

Ben Solis
Audiovisual Director

Ben joined Oregon Translation in early 2010 as the Localization Project Manager.In addition to his multicultural roots, Ben brings a strong technical background to Oregon Translation, with many years of experience working for high-profile international companies such as Hewlett Packard, Adobe Systems, and Yahoo! Inc. Ben’s creativity in the arena of audiovisual materials is a prized asset for the Oregon Translation team. He has overseen international and multilingual projects for scores of products and services for several major corporations. Ben has lived in Mexico, England and France and has worked almost exclusively in the world of international products and services for over 18 years.

Irina Sirotkina
Office Manager & Bookkeeper

Irina joined Oregon Translation in late 2011 to fill the Office Management position, along with billing and client support. Originally from Russia, Irina is fluent in the Russian and English languages. She holds a Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies from Roosevelt University in Chicago and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Business & Finance at Clark College in Vancouver, WA.
