About the Associated Linguists of Oregon
Oregon Translation is the official sponsor of the Associated Linguists of Oregon (ALO). In 2002, ALO was founded by our company president, Virginia Anderson, as a means to raise awareness and generate interest in the local community about the translation and interpretation (T&I) industry.
| Today, as a focused business network of more than 300 translators, interpreters, and other language professionals, ALO has grown dramatically, to the extent of sponsoring two language job fairs in downtown Portland, as well as drawing attention from the American Translators Association (ATA), which in January 2006, published an article by Mrs. Anderson about ALO. | |
