• We prefer to start by listening to what you need and expect and by reviewing the source language documents.
   
  
• We also take this opportunity to explain how the translation process typically proceeds and how we might adapt the process to meet your specific needs, such as a tight deadline or specialized formatting.
   
  
• When everyone understands the project parameters, Oregon Translation provides an estimate of the time and cost involved. Once you sign off on the proposal, the actual translation cycle begins.
   
  
• We hand-pick experienced translators who we custom-match to each of your projects. A translator with excellent experience writing technical manufacturing manuals may not be the right match to translate a marketing document for the clothing or beverage industry.
   
  
• We welcome interactions between our clients and translators throughout the process: providing industry- or company-specific glossaries, lively discourse on the best terminology to use, suggested improvements to the original text, cultural questions and clarifications, etc.
