Oregon Translation does not offer interpreting services, but we may be able to refer you to someone who does interpret. There is no charge for referrals; we're happy to help when we can.

For the past ten years, the founders of Oregon Translation have provided the highest quality of translation services to clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. With our newly launched site, our goals remain the same: to educate you about the translation process; to assist you with your translation needs; and to help your business succeed in the international market with all its multilingual interactions.

Many translation agencies offer these same services. However, Oregon Translation is different from the competition.

To begin with, we proactively help our clients understand the entire translation process:

We prefer to start by listening to what you need and expect and by reviewing the source language documents.
We also take this opportunity to explain how the translation process typically proceeds and how we might adapt the process to meet your specific needs, such as a tight deadline or specialized formatting.
When everyone understands the project parameters, Oregon Translation provides an estimate of the time and cost involved. Once you sign off on the proposal, the actual translation cycle begins.
We welcome interaction between our clients and translators throughout the process: providing industry- or company-specific glossaries, lively discourse on the best terminology to use, suggested improvements to the original text, cultural questions and clarifications, etc.

Our methodology lifts the veil on the translation process, and empowers you with an active role in your project.

Also, we utilize local, experienced translators with a solid understanding of how Northwest businesses operate and communicate. All of our language professionals are native speakers of the language into which they translate. We never subcontract work to the lowest bidder, nor do we outsource to cheap overseas translators, like some Portland-area agencies. This approach ensures your documents will be accurately translated for your target audience.
